FS-UAE is an Amiga emulator aimed directly at creating a simple interface for playing Amiga games in as straightforward way as possible. It will use WHDLoad images as well as direct ADF images of most every Amiga Game. If you have the disk space and the bandwidth, I suggest grabbing the TOSEC Amiga archive off of Internet Archive and have literally everything.
One of the problems with FS-UAE is that the version available in Add/Remove Software in Raspbian is very out of date and missing some newer features. Thats where this post comes in.
This is a link to a page where you can find a script that will install the latest version of FS-UAE on your Pi400 or RPi4:
If you want, you can also initiate the script directly from your terminal:
curl -sSL https://git.io/Jt4Du | sudo bash
To run this you will need a fairly complete set of Kickstart ROMs. As always, I suggest that Cloanto's Amiga Forever is the easiest and least error-prone way of doing this. FS-UAE even has a feature to grab everything you need from the Amiga Forever disk image.
There is another separate app called FS-UAE-Arcade which gives you a graphic browser to chose games, This unfortunately does not currently function properly on the Raspberry Pi 4 or Pi400. So you will be using the FS-UAE-Launcher to select and launch your games, for now.
Note that you will have to create an account or log into an existing account for the games database function to work.
